Lil Win has released song about his recent accident
Renowned Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, recognized as Lil Win, has recently collaborated with Kweku Flick and King Paluta to release a poignant song inspired by the tragic May 25th accident in Kumasi. The heartbreaking incident took place near the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) in Amakom and resulted in the untimely passing of a 3-year-old child.
The tragic accident involving 3-year-old Nana Yaw occurred when the vehicle he was traveling in with his father was struck by a car driven by Lil Win.
Several eyewitnesses alleged that Lil Win was driving recklessly and speeding through the congested streets of Amakom at the time of the collision.
Subsequent to the crash, Nana Yaw and his father were swiftly taken to a nearby medical facility before being transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, young Nana Yaw tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Now, questions of accountability have arisen, with calls for Lil Win to be arrested and charged in connection to the fatal accident.
Following increased pressure from the grieving family of the deceased, Lil Win was eventually arrested.
Initially, the police had cited Lil Win’s purported illness as the cause for the delay in his apprehension.
Upon being brought before the Asokore Mampong District Court, Lil Win was granted bail in the amount of GHC50,000, with two sureties required.
Lil Win was taken into custody 10 days later on 3 June, by officers from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Manhyia Divisional Police Command, immediately following his discharge from the hospital.
He now faces charges of dangerous driving and negligently causing harm.
The court case may still be looming, but a month after the incident, Lil Win is already finding solace in song. With an uplifting message of rejoicing in the Lord, praying continually, and giving thanks in all circumstances, he is finding strength in his faith.
He acknowledges his spiritual mentor, Pastor Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah of Believers Worship Centre [Philadelphia Nyame], expressing gratitude for his guidance and support. Through it all, he recognizes that God’s will is ultimately what is best, providing him with comfort and peace during this difficult time.
In his song, Lil Win fearlessly declares his resilience in the face of adversity, proclaiming that even if his enemies wish for his downfall, he remains undaunted. Despite the many challenges he faces and the constant scrutiny from others, he chooses to focus on giving thanks to God for sparing his life.
He expresses his gratitude towards King Paluta and Kweku Flick for their support during this trying time. Additionally, he acknowledges the protective presence of his spiritual mentors, “Adom Nyame” and “Philadelphia Nyame,” whose guidance and prayers shield him from harm and give him the strength to persevere.
